About Us

The East Side Basketball Club (ESBC) Escalades are one of the premier AAU basketball programs in NYC.  We are a comprehensive and competitive basketball program which provides professional instruction and regular skill clinics/workouts. We also have several try-out based girls and boys competitive AAU basketball teams for those who want to compete at that level. 

 ESBC has been developing players in Manhattan for over 15 years and our director has successfully trained players well over 20 years. Coach Mike is well known in the Manhattan youth basketball community as a coach who can develop solid fundamental players who scholastic level coaches love to coach. He has handpicked a team of trainers and coaches who all develop girls and boys into assets at any level team or program they participate in.

 Our skill based clinics/workouts and team practices are all in Manhattan on the Upper East and West Side, Midtown and West Harlem and are scheduled to provide multiple opportunities each week so families can find a time that works for them. 

 In September, we will have tryouts for our AAU teams to evaluate players skills and place them in the correct level workouts.

 ESBC offers scholarships based on merit and need.

 AAU Girls and Boys teams are all Fall/Winter long except High School. High School teams only participate in the fall as they are active on their school teams in the winter.

Teams:

• 5th/6th
• 7th/8th
• Junior Varsity High School
• Varsity High School (Must be on Varsity team of their HS to try out)

Players who want to do skills based clinics/workouts only also need to be evaluated for placement in each clinic/workout session.
